James Williams is a freelance Personal Trainer. A former Royal Marine Commando, fitness has always been at the core of his life. Throughout his nine years in the military, he has trained for and passed the hardest physical and mental tests the UKForces has to offer. He has taken groups of fighting soldiers for fitness sessions, and when it was time to relax, trained for the pure enjoyment of it. He played county level Basketball as a teenager, and he has competed in Karate, Kickboxing, and boxed with the Navy.
A Level 3 Personal Trainer, he relishes in passing on the knowledge he has gained throughout a lifetime of training in various styles, from long endurance load bearing runs, to Powerlifting, to conditioning for a boxing contest.
He believes that every training session is an opportunity to better yourself. Go in with the mentality that the session will produce the faster time, bigger lift, extra rep. He also understands that the road to achieving your goals can be fraught with hurdles, but this is where mentality will prevail. His mentality...failure is not an option.
His personal goals are always evolving as he believes variation is key to progression. All sessions are high intensity, utilising a small window for maximum gains. This could be a strength, cardio or skill goal and never ruling out looking good in swimwear!
James is a Level 3 Qualified Personal Trainer, enrolled on the Register for Exercise Professionals (REPS), fully insured and First Aid trained.

I have full use of a fully equipped commercial gym, with facilities catering for all our gym needs from cardio through to free weights and resistance training ALL in an unintimidating, friendly environment.
If you'd prefer, I'm more than happy to come down to your gym and train you in an environment you're familiar with, as long as your gym will allow it.
A personal favourite of mine, whatever the weather! Get outside in the sun and fresh air and we can utilise what Mother Nature has provided to create a fun and invigorating exercise session for you. With a set of boxing gloves, a kettlebell and a hill, you'll be sweating! Don't worry, I'll not have you crawling in the mud in a downpour (unless you're into it!)
